Thank you for visiting my site! I hope that you had as much fun reading it as I had writing it! Traveling to Egypt and Jordan in 2008 was a dream come true for me. As a child I had wanted to be an Egyptologist, until I understood that it would mean I might have to touch mummies! Needless to say, much like Emma, I found that to be a deal breaker. However, my fascination with Middle Eastern history and culture did not fade. In college, I took all the ancient and classics classes offered. These classes could not prepare me for the incredible experience of gazing upon the pyramids with my own eyes, or walking the halls that the Pharaohs had once roamed. I have incorporated many of my own experiences, as well as true historical facts, into this novel.
